MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY IN LOS FELIZ
Individual Therapy that WORKS
Consistent support that builds a relationship deep enough to do real work in.
What is individual therapy?
Whether you're navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, or the lasting effects of trauma, individual therapy is a space to be your authentic self.
My goal is for us to develop a relationship that feels safe enough to show up authentically, in all your messy humanness.
Hi, I’m Emma!
Why start therapy?
You're likely here because something isn't working the way it used to. Maybe you're constantly overwhelmed, feeling stuck in old patterns, or simply exhausted from holding it all together.
Mental health therapy is a space where you can start to gently confront what isn’t working and begin to understand why. I hope to be a safe person to guide you along the journey. As you start to have a greater understanding of yourself and your needs, your life starts to change, too (in my humble opinion).
People often come to mental health therapy with me to work through:
Anxiety or chronic overthinking
Stress and burnout (especially for high-functioning professionals)
PTSD and single incident trauma
Relationship issues and attachment wounds
People-pleasing, perfectionism, or self-doubt
Complex & childhood trauma
Autistic burnout and ADHD overwhelm
Grief, loss, and life transitions
Cultural stress related to capitalism & racism
Exploring and celebrating LGBTQIA+ identity
Emotion regulation difficulties
Creative blocks and performance anxiety
Specific fears and phobias
Coping with chronic pain
Feeling “not enough,” unseen, or disconnected
Self-esteem, body image, and self-worth
Late-diagnosed neurodivergence
Parenting struggles & self-care
You don’t have to check every box to belong here. If you’re struggling and looking for support, you’re in the right place.
How I Work
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in curiosity and compassion. I integrate modalities like:
✓ EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
to help you process stuck trauma and shift long-held beliefs
✓ Parts Work (Ego States Therapy)
to build a deeper relationship with your inner parts and restore self-trust
✓ Mindfulness and somatic practices
to bring awareness and regulation to your nervous system
✓ Attachment-focused talk therapy
to heal relationship wounds and reconnect with your core self
Therapy is personalized to each individual and you get to help guide the process. Some sessions might focus on skills and tools for the present moment. Others might go deeper, exploring and processing memories from your past to understand how they show up now.
What to Expect
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Here’s how it works:
Initial Consultation (Free, 20 mins)
We’ll have a video call to see if we’re a good fit and talk through any questions you may have.First Session (60 mins)
We’ll explore what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping for. I ask a bunch of questions, gather history, and get a really good sense of your goals for our work together.Ongoing Sessions
Most clients attend weekly or biweekly sessions, depending on your needs and goals. We work together until you feel like you’ve met your goals! I tend to work with clients long-term, AND my goal is to make it so you don’t need a therapist any more. For some people that’s many years, for some people that’s shorter.
You’re allowed to want more.
You’re not broken. You’re not too much. And you don’t have to figure this out alone.
Therapy is a powerful investment in your healing, growth, and sense of self. When you're ready, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
